At mainy of the bigger weekly markets you can buy anything from fresh cheese, vegetables, leather good and household items to live chickens, plants, trees and agricultural items. There are many Monthly Markets, Antique Fairs and weekly markets too.

Friday every week - a large morning market which has everything you could want.  In the main market square next to the River Nabáo. It is very popular in summer so be prepared.
2nd Sunday each month - antiques market in Rua Principal (main pedestrian road leading up to the main square) starts 10h00 until afternoon

Torres Novas

Tuesday every week - it has quite a lot of curtain fabrics, clothes, tools and garden equipment on sale. The open market is next to the main market hall with all fish, meat and vegetables. All this by the bus terminal.  The local British community gather often on the market day around 11 am at Hotel dos Cavaleiros by the town square.
