Additional FREE Seminars at BLiP afpop

 

Due to the very high level of interest in the two seminars held on 11 and 12 September on issues surrounding dying in Portugal, it has been agreed with the participating presenters (Servilusa funeral agency, Imperius Asset Management and the British Consular staff, as well as afpop’s own resources) that there will be additional sessions on both days of the Better Living in Portugal Exhibition in Portimão, on 6 and 7 October, in the auditorium at the exhibition site. The presenters will also be available on their stands during the exhibition to discuss individual issues with visitors.

Legal Drinking Age going up to 18

Following a series of worrying findings by different studies, the deputy State Secretary for Health (Fernando Leal da Costa) has said that from next year (2012) the minimum age for drinking and buying alcohol will be raised from 16 to 18, as part of a set of measures to dissuade young people from drinking.

Portugal More Popular with UK Property Buyers

RightMove (the UK property portal) have reported this week, an increase in property searches in Portugal of over 14% on the previous month, and it is now their 4th most searched for overseas location. It seems that savvy investors are looking at Portugal now with the potential for growth, and finding bargains that can be had in central Portugal.
