Hey Portugal Magazine are pleased to tell you about the Aeronostalgia 2010 Classic Air Show to be held on September 11 2010 in Sintra.
This is a press release from the organisers.
The AeroNostalgia is an event dedicated to aerospace aviation classic, organized by Aero Phoenix.
This year, in its sixth year, will be held again at Sintra Air Base. This will include the Museum of the Air Museum Aero Phoenix and private collections. Among these attractions there are the patrols "Smoke Wings" and "rotors Portugal."
It was in 2004 held for the first time a concentration of older aircraft, in Santarém. From then until now, were already used two civilian airfields, Santarem and Viseu, and a Military Air Base Sintra. This year, the organization of AeroNostalgia account again with the precious collaboration of the Portuguese Air Force, through the sale of various infrastructures and means: the airfield Sintra Air Base, the museum houses the Air, the Air Force Academy, demonstrating the ground of a Alpha Jet Esq 103 and acrobatic patrol rotors Portugal.
One objective of AeroNostalgia 2010 is to draw attention to the general public in general and in particular of potential supporters, the great need that the Museum of the Air has to expand its new location in Sintra, sheltering aircraft that are currently abroad. The new hangar for the Air Museum involves many resources and is expensive, so initiatives are needed that focus on this situation and contribute to its development and financing.
Access to AeroNostalgia 2010 is paid and the proceeds will go to help Air Museum, in whose "house" takes place this event, and the Museu Aero Fenix, organizer of the same.
We appreciate the presence of all visitors and wish everyone a very enjoyable day and, above all, that fly safely!
Because the Air Show is taking place on the Air base itself, it is necessary to park on one of the roads outside the Airbase. If you get close to the base, there will be National Guard soldiers directing traffic, parking and pedestrians. This is the location of the Air Base.
One of the goals of the AeroNostalgia 2010 at Sintra Air Base is the need to publicize the draft of the new premises of the Air Museum in Sintra. All aircraft in Air Museum will be on display throughout the day, in and out of hangars.
